![]() ![]() I was able to read all seven eBooks at I love all seven of them but Destiny’s Delivery and Baby Circle are my favorites. These books can be effective tools to introduce children to the idea of adoption. Knowing that storytelling is an effective tool to send a message across, DSWD and ICAB has partnered with McCann Philippines to launch seven eBooks all written and illustrated for Filipino adoptive families. ![]() ![]() I Love You Anak also receives support from celebrities such as Ogie Alcasid who sung the I Love You Anak song. Since its launch, various events have been staged to give adoptive families a venue to share their touching stories and to openly declare their deep love for their children. I Love You Anak was launched by the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) and ICAB (Inter-Country Adoption Board) to encourage adoptive families to become adoption ambassadors thereby addressing the stigma of adoption in the Philippines. In the hopes of eradicating the stigma of adoption in our culture, the I Love You Anak campaign was launched. Fortunately, today’s society has become much more welcoming and has lessened the stigma of adoption. Stories of orphans and adopted children maltreated and unaccepted by society were often the central themes of afternoon and primetime series of yore. Ampon, ampon, ampon! Ampon ka lang! I’m sure this would sound very familiar to you if you belong to my (or an older) generation. ![]()
